On February 12, 2025, with the final performance of "Da Tou Er Zi He Xiao Tou Ba Ba - Sheng Ri De Yi Tian" coming to an end amidst the laughter of children, the 10-day "Good Luck in the Year of the Snake, Artistic Splendor in Lingshui" Spring Festival Performing Arts and Culture Week successfully concluded at the Qingshuiwan Maritime Art Center in Lingshui Li Autonomous County.
During the event, the atmosphere at the venue was extremely enthusiastic, with applause and cheers resounding one after another. The audience was immersed in the wonderful performances. Some were made to burst into laughter by the humorous cross-talk shows, some were amazed by the thrilling acrobatic performances, and some were intoxicated by the melodious sounds of traditional Chinese music. This culture week attracted more than 5,000 on-site viewers, bringing a rich and colorful cultural feast to the local people and greatly enriching their festival cultural life.
This event was guided by the Publicity Department of the Lingshui Li Autonomous County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau of Lingshui Li Autonomous County, hosted by the Development Holding Group Co., Ltd. of Lingshui Li Autonomous County, performed by the Beijing Performing Arts Group Co., Ltd., and sponsored by the Lingshui Hexin Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and the Hainan Yaqing International Yacht Club Co., Ltd. The event actively responded to the spirit of the relevant notices from the General Office of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the Hainan Provincial People's Government, and was committed to providing high-quality cultural and artistic products for the masses.
As the first performance in Hainan by the Beijing Performing Arts Group and also the first time in the whole province to invite top domestic national essence cultural groups to perform in Hainan, this event is of great significance. As one of the top 30 cultural enterprises in the country, the Beijing Performing Arts Group, with its affiliated China Acrobatic Troupe, China Puppet Theatre, Beijing Quyi Troupe, Beijing National Orchestra and other groups gathered in Lingshui, bringing distinctive performances to audiences of different age groups, covering various forms of traditional Chinese culture such as acrobatics, quyi (Chinese folk art forms including ballad singing, storytelling, comic dialogues, etc.), traditional Chinese music, and puppet shows.
During the event, many renowned artists and emerging talents gathered, including the famous cross-talk artist Li Jindou, Zheng Xiao, a national first-class actor and a Meipai Qingyi (a type of female role in Peking Opera) from the Beijing Peking Opera Theatre, and Du Pengpeng, a famous singer of Northern Shaanxi folk songs, adding luster to the event. This culture week consisted of a total of eight commercial performances and four public welfare performances. Among the commercial performances, "Xiao Man Quan Cheng" by the Beijing Quyi Troupe brought joy and laughter; "Mo Qu Heng Sheng" by the China Acrobatic Troupe amazed the audience with its thrilling performances; the concert of the Beijing National Orchestra showcased the charm of music; the puppet show "Da Nao Tian Gong" and the cartoon stage play "Da Tou Er Zi He Xiao Tou Ba Ba - Sheng Ri De Yi Tian" were deeply loved by children.
The four public welfare performances covered cross-talk, traditional Chinese music, and puppet shows, combining education with entertainment. The tickets for these performances were distributed by the government and trade union organizations to front-line workers at the grassroots level and the people in need of care, conveying the warmth of culture.
The successful holding of the "Good Luck in the Year of the Snake, Artistic Splendor in Lingshui" Spring Festival Performing Arts and Culture Week not only enhanced the cultural atmosphere in Lingshui but also injected new vitality into the development of Hainan's cultural undertakings, allowing more people to appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
